B&D is proud to be the electrical contractor working on the complete renovation of Snow Hill High School in Worcester County. Phase 1 is now complete one year after the initial groundbreaking, and the rest of the project will take another full year.
The Snow Hill High School Renovation/Addition will nearly double the size of the school to 121,000 square-feet; eliminate the need for portable classrooms; add state-of-the-art classrooms, a new media center, computer labs, science wing, gymnasium, cafeteria and kitchen, and a new athletic complex; and will include several sustainable highly-efficient features such as a geothermal heating/cooling system, motion activated lights, thermally insulated glass, and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
B&D’s construction foreman is Tom Johnson. Oak Contracting is the construction manager. The construction cost for the Renovation/Addition Project is $39-million, with a project cost — which includes items such as furniture and computers — of $49-million. The state’s contribution to the project is $4.6-million.
