B&D is proud to be working with Abu-Zaid and his family who have been in the hotel business in 1970 and have owned this West Ocean City property since 1978. The family is completely redeveloping the property to launch a new 78-room prototype hotel called Microtel Inn and Suites. Bausum & Duckett is proud to be working with Granger Construction, the general contractor for this project. This is part of a larger rebirth for this corridor. Several older properties have been razed to make room for new construction. Abu-Zaid recognized their previous hotel on this property, a 1950’s style motor lodge, was not relevant for consumers any more and is excited about the potential to attract younger visitors who want upscale rooms at affordable prices.
